Summary:
RSA Identity Management & Governance contains fixes for Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities that may potentially be exploited by malicious users to compromise the affected system. 

Details:  
The vulnerabilities that are addressed in RSA Identity Management & Governance are as follows:

  --  Reflected Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities [CVE-2015-4539 ]
RSA IMG is potentially affected by Reflected Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. Attackers could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary HTML or JavaScript code in the user’s browser session in the context of the affected website.

CVSS v2 Base Score: 6.4 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N)

  --  Stored Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities [CVE-2015-4540] 
RSA IMG is affected by Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. Attackers could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary HTML or JavaScript code in the user’s browser session in the context of the affected website.

CVSS v2 Base Score: 8.0 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:C)


Recommendation: 
The following releases contain the fixes for these vulnerabilities:

  -  For CVE-2015-4539
       --  RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance version 7.0.0

  -  For CVE-2015-4540
       --  RSA IMG version 6.9.1 P6
       --  RSA IMG version 6.8.1 P18


NOTE:  In July, RSA announced that RSA Identity Management and Governance (IMG) has been rebranded to RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance (RSA Via L&G).  As an IMG customer (now RSA Via L&G customer), you are already a part of the Via family.


RSA recommends all RSA IMG customers upgrade to RSA Via L&G at the earliest opportunity.
